Qualifications

Responsibilities

  • Perform essential daily cleaning and sanitation duties to support patient care, infection prevention, and patient experience.
  • Interact with patients and healthcare professionals to ensure timely room turnovers and operational efficiency.
  • Maintain hygienic, well-maintained spaces following organizational quality standards.

Job Summary

The Environmental Services Technician I plays a vital role in creating a safe, clean, and welcoming healthcare environment for patients, visitors, and staff. This position is responsible for performing essential daily cleaning and sanitation duties that support patient care, infection prevention, and an exceptional patient experience.

In this role, you will interact regularly with patients and healthcare professionals while ensuring timely room turnovers that directly support patient flow and operational efficiency. Working in alignment with organizational quality standards, the Environmental Services Technician I is a key contributor to maintaining hygienic, well-maintained spaces that promote health, safety, and comfort.

This position requires flexibility and teamwork, including the ability to adjust daily workflows or assigned areas as needed to meet the evolving needs of the facility.

  • High School Diploma or GED preferred

  • Knowledge of general cleaning procedures in a healthcare environment highly desired.

  • Ability to learn proper cleaning procedures.

  • Ability to learn proper management of cleaning chemicals.

  • Ability to learn proper use of personal protective equipment.

  • Basic phone and computer skills

  • Valid Driver's license or government issued ID.
