Job summary

Grady Health System is seeking an experienced Anesthesia Technician to support the anesthesia care team in both routine and complex surgical cases, including cardiac procedures. You will prepare and maintain monitoring devices and delivery systems, assist with IVs and invasive lines, and help manage sterile technique throughout the anesthesia process.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia.
• Assist licensed anesthesia providers with insertion of intravenous and invasive lines, and airway management.
• Prepare central lines, Swan-Ganz catheters, and maintain sterile technique.
• Set up, calibrate, and maintain anesthesia equipment used during procedures.
• Prepare IV fluids and invasive line pressure transducers for use during anesthesia.
• Provide technical and clinical support to ensure safe, efficient, and cost-effective anesthesia care.

Job Summary

The Anesthesia Technician is a member of the Anesthesia care team. In this role, they contribute to safe efficient and cost-effective anesthesia care. The Anesthesia Technologist provides technical and clinical support in anesthesia for routine and complex surgical cases. These types of cases include all General anesthetic cases as well as cardiac procedures. The Anesthesia Technician provides technical and clinical support by preparing and maintaining patient monitoring devices and anesthesia delivery systems before, during and after anesthesia. They also assist the licensed anesthesia provider with the insertion of intravenous and other invasive lines, and airway management. They assist the anesthesia team by preparing central lines, Swan Ganz catheters, etc. while maintaining sterile technique. Prepares I.V. fluids, invasive line pressure transducers for use during the anesthetizing procedure. Sets up, calibrates, prepares and maintains anesthesia equipment used during the anesthetizing procedure.
