HCA Florida Osceola Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician (PRN) to support sterile processing and ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries in Kissimmee, FL. You will work closely with nurses and surgeons to maintain safe, efficient operating room flow.

Qualified candidates have a High School diploma or GED, at least 1 year of CST experience, and must obtain Basic Life Support within 30 days of start date.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate / GED.
• 1 year of Central Sterile Technician experience required.
• Basic Cardiac Life Support certification must be obtained within 30 days of employment start date.

Responsibilities

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.

Shift Information - Friday, Saturday, Sunday: 7p - 730a

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your focus on safety and attention to detail helps protect patients and empowers a team that’s committed to the care and improvement of human life – one surgery at a time.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards
