HCA Florida Northwest Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to ensure instruments are cleaned, sterilized, and ready for surgeries. You will monitor cycles, prepare trays, and work with nurses and surgeons to support safe, high-quality care.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Certification as a Sterile Processor is preferred.
• Sterile processing experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Clean, disinfect, sterilize, and organize surgical instruments and supplies per safety standards.
• Monitor sterilization cycles, document results, and resolve issues promptly.
• Prepare and organize instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule.
• Safely handle and dispose of biohazardous materials while maintaining a clean work area.
• Collaborate closely with nurses and surgeons to support efficient surgeries.

As a Sterile Processing Technician, you'll play a critical role in delivering safe, high-quality surgical care by making sure every instrument is thoroughly cleaned, sterilized, and ready when needed. Your responsibilities will include:

• Cleaning, disinfecting, sterilizing, and organizing surgical instruments and supplies following safety standards.
• Monitoring sterilization cycles, documenting results, and resolving issues promptly to deliver on our commitment to safe, high-quality care.
• Preparing and organizing instrument trays and surgical rooms based on the daily schedule and procedural needs.
• Safely handling and disposing of biohazardous materials while keeping the work area clean and organized.
• Working closely with nurses and surgeons to anticipate needs and support smooth, efficient surgeries.

What qualifications you will need:

• High School Graduate / GED.
• Certification as a Sterile Processor.
• Sterile Processor Experience is preferred.
