Job summary

Ephraim McDowell Health is seeking a Non-certified Central Service Technician to receive, clean, decontaminate and process instruments and equipment across the health system. The role includes operating autoclaves and washers, performing sterilization per manufacturer guidelines, and maintaining inventory accuracy.

On-call coverage for OR weekends/holidays is required. Certification (CRCST) is preferred and a plan for certification within 12 months of hire will move associates to the Certified

Qualifications

• Strong attention to detail and infection control practices.
• Ability to interpret data from sterilization equipment.
• Effective communication and teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Receives, cleans, decontaminates and processes instruments and supplies.
• Operates sterilizers, washers and high-level disinfection equipment.
• Maintains inventory and updates instrument sets and preference cards.
• Assists with case carts delivery and supplies ordering.
• On-call for Operating Room coverage on weekends and holidays.
