Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to ensure sterilization, assembly and storage of instruments and supplies for operating rooms. You will collaborate with Perioperative Nursing to maintain workflow and provide timely instrument sets and carts.

Required are a HS diploma or GED and CST certification or 3 years of Central Sterile experience; CST/CCST certifications are preferred. This role supports exceptional patient outcomes within Piedmont’s hospital team.

Qualifications

• H.S. Diploma or GED is required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech is required.
• In lieu of CST certification, 3 years of Central Sterile experience is required.
• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician or CST - Certified Surgical Technologist is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous workflow, providing superior customer service.
