Job summary

Piedmont Henry Hospital in Stockbridge, GA is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to join our perioperative team. You will maintain standards for set assembly, decontamination, and sterilization of instruments, collaborating with perioperative nursing to support timely case carts and equipment needs.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, CST certification or CST training, and 3 years CST experience (or certificate).

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Graduate of Central Sterile Tech program required or CST certificate.
• Three years of Central Sterile experience required, or no experience if CST certified.

Responsibilities

• Maintains standards for set assembly, decontamination, inspection, containerizing and sterilizing surgical instruments in an accurate and timely manner.
• Performs sterilization, assembly and storage of medical supplies and equipment.
• Collaborates with the Perioperative Nursing staff to provide sterile instrument sets, equipment and case carts in an accurate and timely manner.
• Assists in maintaining consistent and continuous work flow, providing superior customer service.

• No experience required if incumbent has a Central Sterile Tech certification Required

Licenses and Certifications

• CCST - Certified Central Service Technician Preferred or
• CST - Certified Surgical Technologist Preferred
