Job summary

University of California - Irvine Health seeks a Central Supply Instrument Technician to care for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing, and wrapping them in an approved manner for sterilization and disinfection.

Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, you will ensure proper handling of instruments, maintain packaging standards, and support efficient workflow within the health system.

Qualifications

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
• Must demonstrate customer service skills appropriate to the job.
• Ability to maintain a work pace appropriate to the workload.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships across the Health System.
• Knowledge of instruments and their care.
• Knowledge of approved sterilization packaging requirements.

Responsibilities

• Under the supervision of the Director of Surgical Services and/or Clinical Nurse Manager, the Central Supply Instrument Technician cares for instruments and supplies by cleaning, organizing and wrapping them in an approved manner conducive to sterilization and disinfection techniques.
