Job summary

Aurora Health Care is seeking a full-time Central Service Tech for a PM shift with rotating weekends and holidays. Requires high school diploma or equivalent; 1 year experience preferred. Certification in Central Service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterile assembly, packaging, sterilizer operation, inventory and quality duties. Candidate must handle instruments safely, maintain clean work areas, and comply with all safety and infection control

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• 1 year related experience preferred.
• Certification in Central Service is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate instruments and equipment to prevent cross-contamination.
• Assemble, package, and wrap instrument trays for sterilization.
• Document sterilization cycles and monitor sterilizers daily.
• Store sterile items in FIFO inventory and maintain clean work areas.
• Answer phones and respond to supply requests in a courteous manner.
• Follow hospital procedures for handling infectious waste.
