Job summary

Prime Healthcare is seeking a Central Sterile Technician at Holy Family Medical Center in Des Plaines, IL. This full-time, days shift role focuses on decontamination, preparation and sterilization of trays and instruments, and accurate inventory control.

You will perform data entry, batch patient charges, and coordinate with staff across departments while ensuring quality patient care and equipment readiness. Prior sterile experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• New hires must have HS diploma or equivalent.
• At least two years experience as Central Sterile Technician; hospital setting preferred.
• Central Supply Certified certification preferred.
• Current BLS (AHA) certificate.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, prepare and sterilize central sterile trays and instruments.
• Maintain inventory, restock supplies, and perform data entry and patient charge batching.
• Navigate facility locations and communicate clearly with staff across departments.
• Demonstrate knowledge of patient supplies and equipment throughout the site.
