Job summary

UR Medicine Thompson Health in Canandaigua, NY is seeking a Central Sterile Technician to support the distribution of reusable supplies and ensure proper decontamination and terminal sterilization for safe patient care.

The role requires scheduling evenings (Mon-Fri, 2:30 - 11:00pm) with rotating on-call weekends/holidays, and offers a pay range of $21.94-$26.00 based on experience along with comprehensive benefits.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Current certification through IAHCSMM or equivalent required within 18 months of employment.
• One to three years as a technician of Central Sterile Supply preferred.
• No experience is required.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for distribution of reusable supplies and equipment.
• Ensures decontamination of supplies & equipment through cleaning & terminal sterilization according to pre-established guidelines.
• Assists supervisor in daily departmental activities, including orientation of new associates.

Main Function:
