Job summary

Grand Strand Medical Center is seeking a Central Sterile Processing Supervisor to oversee cleaning, decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation in the Central Sterile Supply Department. You will supervise technicians and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

The role requires 2 years of CSP experience, CSPDT or CRCST certification, and a Sterile Processing certificate; high school diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• 2 years previous Central Sterile experience required.
• (CSPDT) Cert Sterile Processing and Distribution Technician, or (CRCST) Certified Registered Central Service Technician
• Education: Certificate in Sterile Processing. High school graduate or equivalent is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow hospital and AAMI standards and policies related to cleaning, decontamination and processing of surgical instrumentation and patient care equipment.
• Supervise all technician staff members.
• Manage day-to-day flow of the Central Sterile Supply Department.
