Job summary

UPMC Mercy is hiring full-time Sterile Processing Associates for evening (2:00 PM – 10:30 PM) or night (10:30 PM – 7:00 AM) shifts. You will clean, assemble, and sterilize surgical instruments, supporting OR upgrades and relocation projects to ensure safe, efficient operations across the hospital.

No certification required, but healthcare experience and good attendance are valued. Scrubs and shoes are provided, and there is a career ladder for advancement as you contribute to life-saving

• Prior healthcare experience is required.
• Solid attendance and professionalism.
• Certification is a plus, but not required.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate and sterilize instruments using manual and mechanical methods
• Assemble surgical trays and case carts per established protocols
• Monitor and document sterilization parameters
• Maintain and troubleshoot sterilization equipment
• Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively
• Participate in performance improvement and ongoing education
