UMC Health System is seeking a Sterile Processing Technician. The successful candidate will organize, direct, and perform cleaning and sterilizing of equipment in the Sterile Processing Department. This role requires the ability to perform physical tasks, including lifting and pushing items, while following safety guidelines.

We are hiring a Sterile Processing Technician to organize, direct, and perform cleaning, sterilizing, storing, maintenance, and distribution of equipment and instruments in the Sterile Processing Department. Monday - Friday 3:00pm - 11:00pm.
High School Diploma or GED.
Frequent interaction with various departments throughout the hospital.
Work is heavy; walking and standing most of the time; may be required to push or pull charts up to 100 pounds and lift items up to 50 pounds; frequent reaching and bending; frequent handling of instruments; sight, speech, and hearing required.
Decontamination work is performed in an area at high risk for exposure to blood-born pathogens; exposure to high temperature steam and hydrogen peroxide; position is subject to indoor environmental conditions; protection from weather conditions but not necessarily from temperature changes.
