Job summary

UPMC Hamot is seeking detail-oriented candidates to join our Central Sterile Processing team as a Central Sterile Processing Associate. In this role, you will perform the decontamination, cleaning, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilization, storage, distribution, and documentation of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment according to established procedures.

Full-time, 2nd shift (2:30 PM – 11:00 PM). Weekend and holiday rotations are required upon training completion.

Qualifications

• Prior healthcare experience preferred.
• Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality and patient safety.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, clean, inspect, assemble, package, sterilize, store, and document instrumentation.
• Maintain accurate documentation and inventory for sterile processing.
• Collaborate with team to support safe, high-quality patient care.
