Job summary

Baystate Health is seeking a Staffing Coordinator to support the Central Staffing Office in Holyoke, MA. You will balance schedules, address staffing shortages, and maintain compliance with labor contracts while coordinating with nursing leadership and clinical staff.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Degree in business, healthcare administration, or related field preferred.
• Proficiency in workforce management software, EHR systems, and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Prepare, maintain, and update daily staffing summaries for nursing units across all hospitals.
• Allocate resources efficiently across units using staffing software or manual methods.
• Adjust assignments based on patient volume, staff availability, and absences.
• Maintain records of staff availability, certifications, and compliance training.
• Communicate shift openings, overtime opportunities, and scheduling changes to staff.
• Track attendance, overtime, and agency usage; prepare staffing reports for leadership.
