Position Summary:
We have an exciting opportunity to join our team as a Central Service Technician - Full Time, Evenings - NSG-Operating Room - Full-Time - Monday - Friday.
In this role, the successful candidate is responsible for decontamination, assembly, high-level disinfection, and sterilization of surgical instruments and equipment. Duties include disinfecting, inventorying, and stocking crash carts, delivering surgical instruments, supplies, and equipment as necessary to meet patient needs, disinfecting mobile patient equipment, stocking and maintaining par levels of mobile patient equipment on nursing units, and maintaining a work environment that follows infection control and safety guidelines. The role also involves answering telephones and handling front-line customer service.

Minimum Qualifications:
To qualify, you must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Certification from the Certification for Sterile Processing and Distribution (CBSPD) or as a Certified or Registered Central Service Technician (HSPA or CRCST) is required. Provisional certification is acceptable. 400 hours of hands-on training will need to be achieved prior to the expiration of the provisional certification.
Qualified candidates must be able to effectively communicate with all levels of the organization.

NYU Langone Hospital-Suffolk provides a salary range to comply with the New York State Law on Salary Transparency in Job Advertisements. The salary range for the role is $46,400.64 - $47,455.20 annually. Actual salaries depend on a variety of factors, including experience, specialty, education, and hospital need. The salary range or contractual rate listed does not include bonuses/incentive, differential pay, or other forms of compensation or benefits.
