Job summary

Health Advocates Network, Inc. is seeking a Central Service Technician in Torrance, CA to perform cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, and case-cart duties for surgical services.

The role requires active CA licensure, CRCST certification, and trauma-center experience, with BLS or equivalent safety credentials and LA health clearances. Local pay is $30.40 per hour, with 8-hour shifts and a minimum of 2 shifts per week, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays.

Shift Details:

Central Service Technician Duties & Responsibilities:

• CSTs will be responsible for the overall cleaning, decontamination, sterilization, case cart pulling, assembly, packaging, restocking supplies, and dispensing of surgical instruments, equipment and supplies needed for surgical procedures in surgery and related departments such as Operating Rooms, Procedural Areas, Inpatient Units, Clinic Units, and Emergency Department.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Current, valid, and unrestrictedCA license/certification in good standing, as required for the position.

• Minimum of one (1) year of recent experience at a Level I trauma center in a metropolitan city with a diverse population.

• Certified Registered Central Service Technician (CRCST) or a certificate confirming successful completion of sterile processing course

• AHA BLS, MAB or CPI, LA City Fire and Life Safety card (must be LA City Fire), and must complete the LA County Employee Health Clearance before assignment start date.

• Copy of current, completedPrimary Source Verification (PSV) from the appropriate licensing board or verification agency, if required.

• Copy of all current required certifications and compliance documents.
