Job summary

Staff Today Inc. is hiring Surgical Technicians in Torrance, CA for 12-hour shifts totaling 36 hours per week.

The role requires circulating and assisting across Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, Plastic Surgery, Gynecology, Urology, Vascular, Podiatry, Thoracic and General Surgery, with strict sterile technique and patient safety in mind. Applicants must hold a CA license/certification, have 1+ year of OR experience in a Level 1 Trauma setting, and active Surgical Technician certification.

Qualifications

• CA license/certification in good standing as required for OR practice.
• 1+ year of recent OR experience, preferably in a Level 1 Trauma Institution.
• Active Surgical Technician certification and BLS/CPR.
• LA City Fire and Life Safety Card required; must be LA City eligible.

Responsibilities

• Circulate and assist during a wide range of surgical procedures across multiple specialties.
• Maintain sterile technique and instrument handling in the OR.
• Anticipate surgical team needs to ensure patient safety and efficient workflow.
• Adapt to complex and routine procedures in Orthopedics, Ophthalmology, ENT, and other specialties.
