AtlantiCare is seeking a Central Scheduling Associate to support the physician group central scheduling contact center. You will schedule for multispecialty providers and diagnostic testing, ensuring timely and accurate appointments while collecting insurance information and entering data into the scheduling system.
You will deliver friendly, professional service to callers, demonstrate empathy, and meet scheduling guidelines.
The Central Scheduling Associate provides scheduling assistance to AtlantiCare Physician group central scheduling contact center. This includes scheduling for multispecialty providers as well as diagnostic testing.
The Central Scheduling Associate also ensures the timely and accurate scheduling of patient appointments following scheduling guidelines, patient insurance information, enters client information into the scheduling application, and provides accurate financial information to clients.
The Central Scheduling Associate provides exceptional customer service to all callers ensuring that adequate time is given to each client and that answers meet their needs. The representative answers all calls in a friendly, timely, courteous and professional manner while dealing with each client compassionately, and showing genuine concern for each situation.
This position supports organizational goals by providing quality customer service, participating in performance improvement efforts and demonstrating a commitment to team work and cooperation.
High school diploma or equivalent required.
1-3 years office experience required, preferably in a medical setting. Medical terminology preferred. Proficiency in Clinical Applications preferred at time of hire; incumbents within position will be trained appropriately and then skill will be required for this position within 30-60 days from date of hire.
Demonstrates the competencies as established on the Assessment and Evaluation Tool for this position.
Potential for exposure to the hazards and risk of the hospital environment, including exposure to infectious disease, hazardous substances, and potential injury.
