Job summary

Civicworks seeks a Regional Lead Project Manager to support the Virginia Department of Corrections Central Administration. You will guide design and construction efforts up to $5 million in the Central Region, reporting to the Construction Project Administrator and managing all phases from planning to closeout.

You will ensure scheduling, scope, and budget adherence, maintain quality assurance, and ensure regulatory compliance while coordinating with external agencies.

Qualifications

• Thorough knowledge of construction project management processes.
• Experience supervising design and construction projects with ability to analyze technical problems.
• Experience managing project budgets through all phases of work.
• VCCO certification.
• Knowledge of codes, laws, and regulations governing construction and contractor procurement for the Commonwealth of Virginia.
• Ability to communicate effectively with management, professionals, employees, and external contractors.

Responsibilities

• Supports construction and design projects up to $5 million across the VADOC Central Region.
• Reports to the Construction Project Administrator and manages all phases from planning through closeout.
• Oversees schedule, scope, budget, quality assurance, and regulatory compliance.
• Serves as a subject matter expert to other project managers statewide and coordinates with external agencies.
