Job summary

Corewell Health is seeking a SP Tech Supervisor for the Royal Oak site to oversee Central Processing Technicians and ensure efficient operation of the department. You will implement new procedures, coordinate trainings, and support hiring decisions in collaboration with CPD leadership.

Responsibilities include directing daily operations, resolving frontline problems, and maintaining compliance with department policies while reporting quality metrics to management.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent required.
• Preferred 1-2 years of college.
• 5 years of experience as Central Processing Tech; computer experience required.
• 1 year of management experience required.
• 6 months of experience knowledge of surgical equipment.
• CRT certs required upon hire: CSPDT/REG_CERT.

Responsibilities

• Direct supervision of Central Processing Technicians.
• Resolve operational problems and maintain department policies.
• Coordinate inservices and training with CPD Educators and Surgical Materials Managers.
• Maintain discipline and implement new procedures.
• Assist in interviewing and hiring decisions.
• Develop procedures and update current ones.
• Accumulate QI statistics and report to manager.
• Demonstrate hospital's customer service behaviors.
