Job summary

Corewell Health in Royal Oak, MI, is seeking a proactive Supervisor for Central Processing. You will direct daily CPD operations, resolve frontline issues, and coordinate inservices with CPD educators and managers in the South Tower.

You will also interview candidates, implement new procedures, and track quality metrics, ensuring consistency with hospital customer service standards and department policies.

Qualifications

• 5 years of relevant experience.
• Five years’ experience as a Central Processing Tech.
• Computer experience required.
• One year of management experience required.
• Required CRT certifications upon hire.
• Knowledge of surgical equipment.

Responsibilities

• Plan, organize and direct day-to-day work of subordinates and assist in department operations.
• Respond to and resolve front-line operational problems.
• Coordinate inservices, meetings, training and orientation with CPD staff.
• Maintain discipline and corrective actions as warranted.
• Assist in interviewing candidates and hiring recommendations.
• Develop new procedures and update current ones.
• Accumulate QI statistics and report to manager.
• Deliver excellent customer service per hospital standards.
