Job summary

Hyatt Regency Phoenix seeks a seasoned Central Plant Operations Supervisor to ensure safe, reliable operation of central plant, BAS/BMS, and related systems across the property. You will lead maintenance programs, troubleshoot complex issues, and drive energy efficiency with a focus on reliability.

Responsibilities include supervising equipment like boilers, chillers, and pumps; coordinating with contractors and vendors; and ensuring regulatory compliance.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 5-7 years of experience operating central plant equipment and building systems.
• Advanced knowledge of steam boilers, chillers, cooling towers, heat exchangers, pumps and water systems.
• Strong background in BAS/BMS, pneumatic and DDC control systems.
• Understanding of safety, compliance, and preventive maintenance practices.
• Experience leading teams and coordinating with contractors and vendors.

Responsibilities

• Oversee operation and maintenance of central plant equipment (boilers, chillers, pumps).
• Monitor and optimize BAS/BMS systems and DDC controls.
• Troubleshoot HVAC, mechanical, electrical issues; provide advanced repairs.
• Ensure safety, regulatory compliance and energy efficiency initiatives.
• Lead preventive/predictive maintenance programs for reliability.
• Coordinate inspections, repairs, and service agreements with vendors.
• Support energy management and identify efficiency opportunities.
• Maintain records of performance, maintenance, and compliance.
• Assist with capital planning and facility improvements.
• Provide technical guidance to engineering/maintenance staff.
