Orenda, Inc. is seeking a Central Operations Manager to lead the fleet's 24/7 monitoring and real-time data intelligence. You will build and own the in-house daytime desk, oversee vendor performance, and ensure the dispatch engine aligns with revenue objectives.

The role requires managing alarm philosophies, incident command, and cross-functional collaboration across operations, engineering, and asset management. This is a full-time Brooklyn-based position with NYC-wide site coverage.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• 5+ years in control room or operations center environments, including 2+ years leading a shift or desk.
• Alarm management experience with a defined alarm philosophy, severity structure, or playbooks.

Responsibilities

• Own 24/7 fleet monitoring and remote triage through the outsourced NOC vendor; alarm philosophy, severity matrix, response playbooks, escalation paths.
• Stand up and run the in-house daytime desk: monitoring, triage, vendor handoff, and discrepancy log.
• Dispatch Site Operations and OEMs/vendors; manage work orders and CMMS flow.
• Serve as the 24/7 real-time operational point of contact for grid operators; ensure assets follow the automated dispatch schedule.
• Maintain the system‑of‑record event log for alarms, actions, dispatches, and grid communications.
• Build and lead the Central Operations team; hire, train, and develop staff.
• Coordinate with Con Edison and NYISO; manage market interactions and dispatch events.
