Job summary

AgReserves, Inc. in Wasco, CA is seeking an Assistant Central Functions Manager to lead daily maintenance and support activities for farm operations.

You will supervise maintenance staff, coordinate work, monitor equipment readiness, and ensure vehicles, facilities, roads, and assets are maintained safely and efficiently. The role emphasizes asset reliability, preventive maintenance, parts and inventory management, and collaboration with farm teams to meet operational goals.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Technical certification or college coursework in diesel mechanics, equipment maintenance, agriculture, construction, fleet management, or related field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in equipment maintenance, fleet or shop operations.
• 1+ years of supervisory or team leadership experience preferred.
• Knowledge of farm and ranch equipment, facilities, and maintenance practices.
• Understanding of preventive maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair processes.
• Familiarity with maintenance systems, inventory, and work orders.
• Strong leadership, coaching, and employee development skills.
• Ability to manage multiple maintenance requests and changing demands.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license; CDL or ability to obtain may be required.

Responsibilities

• Lead daily maintenance and repair of equipment, vehicles, facilities, roads, and assets.
• Supervise, train, and support maintenance staff to ensure safe, efficient work.
• Manage timekeeping, performance management, and disciplinary actions as needed.
• Assign and coordinate daily maintenance tasks including preventive maintenance.
• Ensure equipment and vehicles are in good condition to minimize downtime.
• Track work orders and maintenance records for accuracy and timeliness.
• Monitor equipment conditions and communicate maintenance needs.
• Oversee parts, fuel, tools, and shop inventory.
• Support asset tracking, inspections, and disposal activities.
• Ensure compliance with safety policies and regulatory requirements.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe shop areas.
• Collaborate with operations to prioritize needs and improve efficiency.
• Identify opportunities to increase service levels and reduce downtime.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
