Job summary

Baxter in Marion, NC is seeking a Technical Lead Machinist for the Central Maintenance machine shop. You will set up and operate CNC and manual machines, inspect parts, and support maintenance and rebuild of production components.

The role requires strong blueprint reading, GD&T experience, and proficiency with MasterCam, AutoCAD, and CAM software. Safety and 6S adherence are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years machining experience or 2-year Machinist degree preferred.
• Reading blueprints and GD&T required; skilled in precision measurement.
• Experience with HAAS, MATSUURA, FEDAL or DAEWOO equipment preferred.
• Proficient in CAM software (MasterCam) and AutoCAD.
• Able to lift up to 50 pounds and maintain 6S in the shop.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate North Cove machine shop equipment safely and efficiently.
• Machine parts within tolerances per blueprints.
• Fabricate parts for maintenance, repair, and rebuilding of production components.
• Stock parts for equipment support and perform preventative maintenance.
• Generate part programs using CAD/CAM for CNC equipment.
