Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Must pass Flex-Force Test and Machinist Set-Up Test (read blueprints, calipers and micrometers).
• Must have a current, valid driver’s license and pass tow motor physical.

Responsibilities

• Perform metal fabrication operations, set up and operate machines, and troubleshoot issues.
• Plan work from schedules and instructions; train and assist operators.
• Assign work and adjust staffing as workload varies.
• Instruct and train employees in procedures and sequence of operations.
• Assist supervisor to maintain flow of work and production scheduling.
• Ensure materials and equipment are ready; move stock as needed.
• Maintain quality and safety; document production data as required.
• In absence of supervisor, handle department operations.
