Job summary

City of Dallas is seeking a Library Manager – Central Services to lead the Central Library's operations, staff, and programming. The role requires oversight of systemwide library services and coordination with managers and coordinators to achieve objectives.

Responsibilities include personnel management, budgeting, data reporting, customer service oversight, and collaboration with program administrators on public events and art displays. A MLS or related undergrad is required.

Qualifications

• Seven (7) years of related experience, including at least three (3) years in a supervisory role and at least three (3) years in a library environment.
• Master's degree in Library Science from an A.L.A. accredited university, or a bachelor’s degree in English, Business, Arts, History, Humanities, or information-related field.

Responsibilities

• Oversee Central Library operations, staffing, and program delivery.
• Coordinate event planning, adult learning programs, and community outreach.
• Manage staff development, coaching, and performance management.
