Job summary

Allina Health is seeking a Medical Laboratory Professional to join our Central Laboratory. This role involves adherence to CAP/CLIA guidelines, venipuncture, specimen processing, and routine lab procedures in a busy, patient-centered environment. The position is 1.0 FTE with an 8-hour day shift and includes every 3rd weekend rotation.

Prior phlebotomy experience and a high school diploma are preferred. The role focuses on lab reception, specimen handling, and clerical duties within a centralized

Qualifications

• Phlebotomy experience is preferred.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience in a clinical laboratory or patient service setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Perform waived testing and assist with SOP/workflow development.
• Collect specimens via venipuncture or capillary puncture and ensure proper labeling.
• Process specimens and support phlebotomy supply management; assist in patient check-in and EMR tasks.
