Job summary

Darling Ingredients is seeking an entry-level Corporate Laboratory Technician in the United States to execute tests and monitor product quality following established methods and lab practices. You will learn and apply health and safety rules while logging results in LIMS and coordinating sample testing across teams.

This role requires basic lab knowledge, strong attention to detail, and effective communication.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required; some college coursework in science/math preferred.
• Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook is expected.
• Demonstrated ability to follow lab procedures and safety rules.

Responsibilities

• Assistin coordination and execution of routine and project sample testing.
• Report off-quality findings to Lab Manager.
• Maintain,operateand validate instrumentation with a thorough knowledge of functionality of equipment.
• Follow directions and Standard Operating Procedures accurately.
• Communicate special testing/sample needs to other divisions within the company.
• Knowledgeable of company products and specifications; knowledge of office functions, UPS procedures, sample logs, result archiving and retrieval and ordering lab supplies.
• Other duties as assigned

Minimum Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• Must have successfully completed some college-level coursework in science and math.
• Demonstrated working knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Word, Outlook & Excel.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior laboratory experience.
• Prior LIMS experience.
• A demonstrated ability to focus on and manage detailed methodologies in a multitasking environment.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.

Working Conditions and Physical Demands

• Occasionally exposed to high noise levels, strong odors, varying temperatures, and biohazardous conditions.
• Requires prolonged sitting and movement throughout office/work locations, as well as occasional use of computers and office equipment.
• Must frequently stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, and climb or balance.
• Must be able to communicate effectively and identify potential workplace hazards.
• Requires the ability to occasionally lift and/or move up to 25lbs.
