Darling Ingredients is seeking a Laboratory Technician to support testing and monitoring of product quality. You will coordinate with the Central Lab, prepare samples, and document results to ensure compliance with safety and HACCP standards.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED or equivalent is required.
• One year of laboratory experience with basic chemistry understanding preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in a related field is preferred.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills are essential.
• Highly organized with good time management and attention to detail.
• Proficient with computer applications and data entry.

Responsibilities

• Complete profiles on finished materials and product purchases/shipments per standards.
• Serve as liaison between the plant and Central Lab for product quality.
• Obtain, package, and ship samples for testing to Central Lab.
• Submit test results to Supervisor, GM and Plant Manager.
• Ensure compliance through site inspections, sampling, log review and reporting.
• Maintain lab, materials and work area in clean condition.
• Maintain safety as a top priority per company rules.
• Perform quality analyses on finished products.

The Laboratory Technician is responsible for testing and monitoring quality of all products.

Essential Duties/Responsibilities

• Completes profiles on production finished materials and on product purchases and shipments per Company standards.
• Serves as liaison between the plant and Central Lab with respect to product quality.
• Obtain, package, and ship samples for testing to Central Lab
• Submit test results to Supervisor, General Manager and Plant Manager.
• Responsible for site inspections, sampling, log review & report preparation to ensure compliance in:
• Biosecurity
• Feed Safety
• Product compliance
• Ensures compliance with local, state and federal environmental, safety, and HACCP regulations.
• Perform quality analyses on finished products.
• Maintains lab, materials, and work area in clean condition.
• Maintains safety as top priority in accordance with all company safety rules and regulations.
• All other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
• One year prior lab experience required, with demonstrated understanding of basic chemistry.
• Preferred Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in relatable field preferred
• Work well with others in a team, management, and regulatory environment.
• Highly organized; superior time management skills.
• Exceptional communication skills both written and oral.
• Safety-conscious; detail oriented, with ability to multi-task.
• Good computer skills.

Physical Demands

• Frequently required to walk, stand, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crawl, and crouch.
• Occasionally push, pull, move, or lift 50 lbs.
• Regularly required reach with hands and arms.

Job functions will be carried out in an office, lab, or plant environment.
