Qualifications

• 1-2+ years of leadership experience with remote or distributed teams.
• 3+ years of experience in remote assistance, fleet operations, or a related high-tempo technical environment.
• Demonstrated experience leading through change (site launches, software transitions, or a 24/7 expansion).
• Strong judgment and communication skills, especially for time-sensitive decisions under pressure.
• Proven ability to master complex, proprietary software tools quickly.
• Track record identifying technical bugs or UI/UX gaps and translating them into actionable feedback for Engineering teams.
• Ability to maintain constructive optimism and view failures as data gathering opportunities.
• Flexibility for hours in office, not always planned far in advance.

Responsibilities

• Lead a team of Central Development Specialists supporting scheduling and execution of development testing across a 24/7 operation.
• Become certified on relevant internal Aurora tools and act as SME on data integrity and testing quality for your team.
• Maintain a master-level understanding of Aurora’s internal toolset and serve as escalation point for complex hurdles.
• Continue supporting a safety culture that moves beyond checkbox compliance to identify failure points in early-stage features.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with Engineering, Product and Operations on safety and quality pivots.
• Facilitate and deliver seamless daily handoffs across regions and shifts, managing scheduling and blockers.
• Provide constructive performance feedback through regular 1:1s and document blockers to high standards.
• Drive continuous process improvement and lead side projects to enhance development readiness.
• Identify and flag tooling friction or edge cases during testing that could become operational risks.
• Provide direct support during daily scheduling and incident response with composure.
