Sumitomo Electric Group in Wisconsin seeks a Centerless - Machine Operator to operate one or more machines for simple, highly repetitive operations on standardized parts. You will follow procedures with setups done by others and work under close supervision in a well-lit shop.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma or equivalent, basic math and problem-solving skills, and the ability to lift 25 pounds.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or its equivalent.
• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations.
• Basic math, logical reasoning, and problem solving skills.
• Ability to lift 25 pounds.
• Experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida.
• Ability to communicate effectively.
• Ability to follow directions.

Brief Description

Operate one or more machines to perform simple machine operations on highly repetitive and standardized parts and details on metal or other material.

The setups are made by others and instructions are given on operating procedures.

Work is performed under close supervision and subject to strict process inspection procedures.

Other duties as assigned.

Work Environment:

Well-lit machine shop with moderate noise. Staff members will need to be able to work while standing, sitting, bending, and climbing. Staff members will be occasionally lifting and working inside of machines.

Job Requirements:

• High school diploma or its equivalent


• Knowledge of machine shop practices, techniques, operations

• Ability to lift 25 pounds


• Strongly preferred candidates have previous experience operating CNC grinding equipment such as; Walter, Ewag, Rollamatic, ANCA, Waida, etc.
