Fresh Thyme Farmers Market in the Midwest is hiring an Assistant Store Director – Center Store to oversee day-to-day operations, drive sales, control costs, and maintain a positive shopping experience for customers while providing a supportive work environment for employees.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor's degree or equivalent, 5+ years in grocery retail, experience in store operations and merchandising, and strong leadership, communication, and MS Office skills.

Qualifications

• Must have customer service excellence at all times.
• Ability to adapt to high-volume retail in a cross-functional team.
• Strong initiative and problem-solving abilities.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Oversees department manager and holds Grocery Manager responsibilities; monitors hiring, scheduling, and labor costs.
• Provides ongoing staff training on policies and procedures.
• Owns financial results for applicable departments and manages merchandising and costs.
• Ensures store cleanliness, safety, and regulatory compliance.
• Communicates weekly with corporate departments on vendor/product issues.
