Job summary

Hannaford is seeking a Store Manager to lead retail operations at the Meredith, NH location. You will oversee associate development, merchandising standards, and customer service, ensuring safety, security and accurate inventory control.

The role drives department financial goals and exemplary leadership across the store. The position requires a strong background in store operations, a college degree or equivalent, and a Certified Food Safety Manager accreditation or commitment to obtain it

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of store operations and total store merchandising techniques.
• Excellent interpersonal, customer service and communication skills.
• Desire and ability to lead and manage associates.
• Department Manager or equivalent experience required.
• College degree or equivalent preferred.
• Accreditation as Certified Food Safety Manager or ability to obtain within 90 days.

Responsibilities

• Foster a positive and inclusive environment to retain associates and customers.
• Ensure that all quality standards are met.
• Manage department operations in accordance with established department standard practices.
• Ensure the maintenance of the department's appearance and presentation.
• Hire, train and develop associates to meet department needs.
• Attain departmental financial objectives.
• Supervise performance of all duties and responsibilities of department associates.
• Role model outstanding friendly customer service.
• Use good judgement in delegation and follow-up for efficient department performance.
• Maintain records of production, shrink, sales and inventory.
• Meet physical requirements of the position.
• Provide recognition and constructive counseling as needed.
• Treat all coworkers with fairness, dignity and respect.
• Ensure training by certified trainers and adherence to company policies.
