Job summary

SpartanNash Wyoming, MI seeks a Center Store Lead to oversee daily department operations, train and staff the team, and ensure adherence to company standards and KPIs.

You will manage inventory, validate orders, supervise stocking, and maintain product freshness and date rotation while following Food Safety and Labor guidelines. Strong leadership, communication, and bookkeeping skills are essential; Spanish helpful.

Qualifications

• High School Graduate (Required) or Equivalent (GED).
• Strong written and verbal communication, and bookkeeping skills.
• Good organization, prioritization, decision-making, problem solving and conflict management skills.
• Strong leadership abilities with capability to work in a hands-on environment.
• Good strategic planning and business acumen skills.
• Good knowledge of retail store operations; knowledge of retail management systems.
• Suggestive Selling/Knowledge of Products preferred.
• Proficient in Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
• Depending on company location, ability to communicate in Spanish is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day department operations to meet company standards and KPIs.
• Order and maintain inventory, apply markdowns to minimize loss and ensure freshness.
• Review and validate received orders for amount, quality, weight, and condition.
• Manage a team responsible for stocking, production, and quality controls.
• Maintain familiarity with products and store-level promotional items.
• Communicate and execute the Flight Plan per company expectations and timelines.
• Assist with scheduling, labor control, overtime, and payroll expenses.
• Attend daily huddles and meetings; participate in district/company calls as required.
• Ensure a clean, attractive, and well-stocked department; follow Prime Time standards.
