Job summary

The Fresh Market is seeking a Center Store Department Lead who will support the Center Store Department Manager in delivering an exceptional guest experience and maintaining an orderly, well-merchandised department. You’ll lead with care, coach your team, and step in as acting manager as needed.

You’ll monitor labor, assist with inventory and promotions, and analyze metrics to drive department profitability while upholding The Fresh Market standards of hospitality and excellence.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1+ years of progressive management experience in retail or hospitality.
• Proven ability to lead and develop high-performing teams.
• Track record delivering exceptional guest experiences while meeting goals.
• Excellent communication, problem-solving and conflict-resolution skills.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule, including nights, weekends and holidays.
• Basic proficiency with POS, scheduling tools and Microsoft Office.
• Must be 21 years of age or older.

Responsibilities

• Help monitor labor schedules to meet productivity and budget goals.
• Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and ordering processes.
• Act as a resource for team members in the manager’s absence.
