Job summary

ENTERPRISE FOR PROGRESS IN THE COMMUNITY seeks an Assistant Center Manager to support Jefferson Head Start/ECEAP sites in Yakima, WA, and related outposts. The role guides center leadership, ensures compliant operations and promotes school readiness for children.

You will collaborate with districts and health partners, supervise staff, and engage families, while upholding EPICs policies, licensing standards, and performance measures across sites.

Qualifications

• BA in Early Childhood, Human Services or related management field or equivalent experience.
• Meet Washington state licensing requirements for program supervisor.
• At least three years of leadership experience in Head Start/Migrant Head Start or similar.
• Demonstrated experience in direct supervision of staff.
• Willingness to travel to EPIC's sites and conferences/meetings outside service area.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise Head Start/ECEAP site activities across Jefferson, East Valley, and Fairview outposts.
• Ensure children's welfare, safety and school readiness are the primary focus.
• Collaborate with school districts, DEL, health agencies and partners.
• Assure compliance with agency policies, licensing requirements and USDA rules.
• Model professional behavior and effective conflict resolution.
• Maintain safe, sanitary facilities with adequate staff and proper supervision.
• Involve parents in program governance and activities; support committees and councils.
• Complete tasks and reports for site management and fiscal coordination.
