Job summary

USC Caruso Catholic Center in Los Angeles is seeking a Director of Center Operations to manage day-to-day facilities, security, events, and the office staff while serving as the liaison to St. Joseph Financial Services on budgeting, financial workflows, and tax matters.

This role owns large center-wide events, coordinates with Campus Ministry, Worship, Advancement and Marketing, and advances the Center's culture of hospitality through white-glove service and meticulous operational execution.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in hospitality or a related field.
• Working knowledge of basic accounting and budgeting principles to collaborate with SJFS.
• Experience with Bill.com or similar accounts payable and expense platforms.
• Strong organization and attention to detail.
• Effective communication, ability to work independently, discretion and judgment, follow-through on projects.
• Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends.
• Ability to pass a background check.

Responsibilities

• Oversee facilities, security, events, and office operations.
• Coordinate with SJFS on budgeting, financial workflows, and taxes.
• Plan and execute large center-wide events with cross-department partners.
• Manage vendor relationships and service contracts.
• Schedule safety drills and inspections; manage IT and security needs.
• Supervise the Office Secretary and coordinate cross-department collaboration.
• Attend SJFS advisory meetings and report financial materials.
