Job summary

Centro de la Familia is seeking a Center Support Specialist to provide operational, administrative, and educational leadership for Head Start centers in Fallon, NV and surrounding areas. You will manage daily operations, hire and train staff, and ensure services meet policy and performance standards while remaining culturally relevant.

You will guide staff, collaborate with parents, represent the center in the community, oversee health/safety protocols, and ensure high-quality education services

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Administration, Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience (early childhood education or social work preferred).
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; CPR and First Aid certification required; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Center Operations: Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
• Staff Leadership: Provide mentoring, conduct meetings, and lead training for staff; engage parents in children’s education.
• Community Representation: Liaise in the community to foster partnerships and assist in budget management, grant preparation, and data collection.
• Oversee health and safety protocols: Ensure center is clean, organized, and meets CACFP requirements for nutritious meals.
• Education Services: Oversee educational programming, align with School Readiness Plan, train teachers in assessments and individualized learning plans.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure adherence to Head Start standards for home visits, parent conferences, and recordkeeping; prepare reports.
