Job summary

Centro de la Familia seeks a Center Support Specialist to lead Head Start center operations across Fallon, Yerington, and Winnemucca. You will supervise staff, align services with performance standards, and ensure high-quality, culturally responsive care for children.

You will train teachers, manage budgets, and build partnerships with families and the community. A bachelor’s degree and supervisory experience are required, with bilingual ability preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Administration, Management, or related field.
• 3+ years of supervisory experience, with a preference for early childhood education or social work.
• Bilingual (Spanish/English) preferred; CPR and First Aid certification required; CDL is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Center Operations: Manage daily operations, ensuring compliance with policies and laws.
• Staff Leadership: Mentor, conduct meetings, and lead training for staff; engage parents in children’s education.
• Community Representation: Build partnerships with families and community; assist in budget, grants, and data collection.
• Oversee health and safety protocols: Ensure CACFP-compliant meals and safe center operations.
• Education Services: Oversee educational programming; train teachers in assessments and learning plans.
• Compliance & Reporting: Ensure Head Start standards for home visits, conferences, and recordkeeping.
