Job summary

Sunrise Childrens Foundation in Las Vegas, NV seeks an Assistant Center Director to oversee daily operations of Early Head Start classrooms under supervision of the Center Director or Manager of Education Services.

You will monitor attendance, assist with enrollment, maintain records, and communicate with families while supporting curriculum development and staff supervision in a childcare setting.

Qualifications

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have a CDA Infant/Toddler Credential with 12 units of Early Childhood Education (ECE).
• Must have a minimum of 3 months of supervised field experience.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers to develop and implement appropriate curriculum that addresses the whole child; and integrates all services into the curriculum.
• Monitors and supervises activities within the center to ensure a safe and healthy environment.
• Assists with enrollment policies and procedures, and maintains accurate attendance records.
• Maintains strict confidentiality for EHS children, families and staff in accordance with established policies and procedures.
• Maintains accurate records and analyzes data for evaluating, planning, and improving services.
• Maintains regular communication with parents and families.
• Plans and conducts transition activities, attend meetings, and carries out emergency and safety procedures.
• Other duties as assigned by the Education Manager, Center Director, Program Management, or Administration.
