Job summary

Voltava, a leading manufacturing group, is seeking a Production Manager to lead day-to-day operations at our Michigan facility. You will foster a safety-first, quality-focused culture while driving continuous improvement, productivity, and customer satisfaction through strong leadership of a diverse team.

You will partner with plant leadership to ensure operational excellence, staff development, and effective stakeholder communication, enabling high-performance results across the operation.

Qualifications

• Minimum of five years of progressive leadership experience in a production environment.
• Strong working knowledge of Lean Manufacturing principles, including Kanban, 5S, TPM, continuous improvement, and problem-solving methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead teams in a fast-paced, customer-focused manufacturing operation.
• Strong interpersonal, communication, coaching, and conflict resolution skills.
• Experience managing performance, developing talent, and building high-performing teams.
• Proven track record of maintaining safety, quality, and operational standards.
• Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to prioritize multiple responsibilities.
• Demonstrated ability to work cross-functionally and influence stakeholders at all levels of the organization.
• Ability to analyze data and make sound operational decisions based on business needs.

Responsibilities

• Serve as an integral member of the plant leadership team, contributing to strategic and operational decision-making.
• Lead, coach, develop, and hold accountable all direct reports and plant Team Members.
• Foster and sustain Voltava’s people-first culture while promoting employee engagement and development.
• Drive operational excellence through the implementation and adherence of business systems, standards, and best practices.
• Manage facility performance related to safety, quality, delivery, cost, and productivity objectives.
• Develop collaborative and productive relationships with customers and key stakeholders.
• Lead continuous improvement initiatives to identify and eliminate waste throughout the operation.
• Ensure effective onboarding, training, and development of new Team Members.
• Establish and maintain communication processes that ensure critical information is effectively shared throughout the organization.
• Champion Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) initiatives and ensure compliance with all company and regulatory requirements.
