Job Summary

The Manager oversees all activities in 1-2 clinics, ensuring high-quality, timely care in a clean, safe, and welcoming environment, in accordance with Exer policies. This role also involves running profitable operations and supervising staff.

Major Duties and Responsibilities
Leadership and Management
  • Interviewing, hiring, training, and terminating staff in collaboration with ROD and HR
  • Mentoring staff and assisting in succession planning, including supervising Center Leads and Assistant Managers
  • Motivating and leading teams to achieve goals in a positive environment
  • Preparing monthly clinic schedules
  • Approving daily punches in payroll, managing attendance issues
  • Handling call-outs and ensuring proper staffing
  • Conducting staff meetings and daily huddles to communicate goals and enforce policies
  • Collaborating with regional and corporate teams for effective operations
  • Participating in discussions on revenue streams and profitability strategies
  • Managing budgets effectively
  • Upholding employee and business standards, including HIPAA and compliance standards
Patient Interaction/Customer Service
  • Providing exceptional customer service and leading by example
  • Resolving customer issues promptly and per policies
  • Welcoming patients and ensuring all touchpoints are handled appropriately
  • Ensuring patients feel informed and their needs are met
  • Managing patient flow to minimize wait times while maintaining high census
Operations/Facilities
  • Managing daily clinic operations, including staffing and safety checks
  • Implementing workflow improvements for efficiency
  • Maintaining accurate EMR records
  • Overseeing billing and cash deposit procedures
  • Managing supply orders and vendor relations
  • Ensuring the clinic is clean and well-maintained
Marketing
  • Understanding our products and differentiators
  • Acting as a community ambassador and developing outreach efforts
Skills and Competencies
  • Patient-focused with high customer service standards
  • Flexible schedule and strong work ethic for a clinic open 363 days/year
  • Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
  • Effective leadership and communication skills
  • Strong EQ and soft skills
  • Dependable with a sense of urgency
  • Proficient with computers and healthcare software
  • Knowledge of HIPAA, OSHA, and related regulations
Education and Experience
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business or related field preferred
  • 3-5 years in healthcare operations or retail management for Center Manager; 5-7 years for Senior Center Manager
  • Experience managing staff in a retail or healthcare setting
Supervision
  • Supervises Center Leads and Assistant Managers
  • Oversees all clinic staff, including front desk, medical assistants, nurses, and providers
Working Conditions
  • Clinical setting with moderate noise and potential exposure to infectious diseases
  • Requires travel between centers, standing/sitting for periods, lifting up to 25 lbs
  • Access to confidential information, requiring discretion
