U-Haul Moving Center is seeking a General Manager to keep the center profitable and efficient by hiring staff, tracking inventory, and managing equipment. The role is fast-paced and rewarding, with a strong emphasis on problem-solving and customer care.

The position offers comprehensive benefits and opportunities for advancement, plus ongoing training through U-Haul University. Candidates should have 1–3 years of management experience and be able to work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• 1–3 years of management experience in retail or another service industry with responsibility for financial results and customer satisfaction.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage high-volume retail with P&L accountability.
• Valid driver’s license with good driving record.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Able to work weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Manage the fleet to deliver clean and well-maintained equipment.
• Perform profit/loss analyses.
• Hire and mentor new team members.
• Track and itemize inventory.
• Manage the personnel budget.
• Ensure that customers receive the highest quality of care.
• Keep track of fuel receipts and petty cash.
• Maintain a secure work environment.
• Participate in ongoing U-Haul education through U-Haul University.
