Job summary

Philadelphia Corporation for Aging is seeking a Center Custodian to provide cleaning and sanitation services at the Firehouse Active Adult Center. You will perform minor maintenance, assist with setup for programs, and ensure facility standards meet health and safety guidelines.

The position requires four years of related maintenance experience, familiarity with HVAC systems, and the ability to lift over 30 lbs. Pre-employment physicals and background checks are part of the process.

Qualifications

• High school or vocational education completed.
• Experience cleaning highly trafficked areas.
• Experience with minor repairs and basic maintenance.

Responsibilities

• Clean restrooms and sinks daily, ensure cleanliness throughout the center.
• Sweep, mop, vacuum, dust baseboards and fixtures.
• Perform light maintenance and report any defects.
• Move supplies and small furniture as needed for programming.
• Maintain exterior areas and assist with garden tasks when required.
