Job summary

Volunteers of America Colorado seeks a Center Director for Theodora Family Hotel to lead day-to-day operations of all programs and ensure safety and high-quality services for families and individuals.

You will develop 24/7 residential systems, supervise staff and relief personnel, and collaborate with senior leadership on program development, reporting, and community partnerships. This role requires strong leadership and trauma-informed care expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in human services or related experience.
• Two years of direct experience working with homeless people or in similar settings.
• Two years of supervisory experience.
• Willing to obtain first aid, AED, and CPR certifications.
• Background checks (criminal and civil) within 30 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of all programs within the facility.
• Provide leadership for Theodora operations and programming.
• Develop and maintain systems for 24/7 residential operations.
• Ensure participant voices inform program development.
• Delegate operational responsibilities to staff and volunteers.
• Maintain familiarity with front desk and facility operations.
• Participate in on-call rotation (evenings, weekends, holidays).
• Recruit, hire, train, supervise, and evaluate staff and volunteers.
• Foster a collaborative team environment and professional development.
• Ensure program reporting, grant compliance, and budgets.
• Ensure safety, trauma-informed care, and housing placement processes.
• Monitor documentation quality and health code compliance.
• Represent VOA Colorado in the community and with partners.
