Job summary

Centria Autism is seeking a Center-Based Registered Behavior Technician (RBT) to join our autism therapy program at the Norfolk center. The role involves 1:1 and small group sessions, data collection, and caregiver collaboration to implement individualized treatment plans.

The position offers full-time hours, a competitive pay range of $18–$25/hour, paid time off, and growth opportunities within the Rain wage access and practicum supervision programs.

Qualifications

• Must hold and maintain current RBT certification issued by BACB.
• Background check required by the company.
• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Must have reliable transportation.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Willing to obtain CPR and First Aid certification.
• Willing to obtain TB test annually.
• Physically able to perform duties including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to perform repetitive tasks precisely.
• Ability to follow detailed instructions and use technology to record data.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group direct client care using intensive teaching and natural environment training.
• Follow treatment plans created by BCBA/BC for skill acquisition and reduction protocols.
• Collect, record, and summarize data on client behavior.
• Assist with parent/caregiver training aligned with treatment protocols.
• Ensure timely documentation.
• Communicate progress to parents as instructed by BCBA/BC.
• Report all incidents and safety concerns.
• Maintain a clean, safe, organized work area.
• Assist BCBA/BC with materials and assessments.
