Job summary

Centria Autism in Portland, ME, is seeking enthusiastic Behavior Technicians to support children with autism through one-on-one behavioral intervention plans under the supervision of a BCBA.

You will learn evidence-based techniques to teach communication, social, and daily living skills while reducing challenging behaviors. Comprehensive training provided; CPR/First Aid and TB tests may be required; ability to lift up to 50 pounds. Pay range is $19–$20 per hour.

Qualifications

• Patience and compassion when working with children.
• Ability to work well in a team.
• 18+ years of age.
• High school diploma or GED.
• Ability to obtain CPR/First Aid and TB test.
• Ability to pass a pre-employment background check.
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children using individualized behavior plans.
• Implement evidence-based techniques to teach communication and daily living skills.
• Assist BCBA with data collection and progress tracking.
